When joining the EPIC team you instantly become a part of the group dynamic. This is a collaborative team of professionals that mentor, educate, and share information amongst one another. Guidelines For Our Team
Mission Alignment: All potential candidates must share a deep commitment to EPIC Recovery's mission, which is to bridge the gaps in addiction care and provide peer-led, client-focused support for individuals seeking recovery.
Ethical Standards: Candidates should adhere to the CPCA Code of Ethics and be familiar with the CPCA Counseling Core Competencies and the CPCA Standards of Practice. Integrity, honesty, and a strong moral compass are crucial qualities for all EPIC Recovery team members.
Empathy and Rapport Building: EPIC Recovery values empathy, understanding, and the ability to build rapport with clients. Candidates should possess these essential skills and demonstrate a genuine desire to help individuals on their path to recovery.
Lived Experience: Preference will be given to candidates with personal lived experience related to addiction and recovery. This firsthand knowledge can be a powerful tool for connecting with and supporting clients.
Collaborative Spirit: EPIC Recovery places a high value on collaboration. Candidates should be team players who can work effectively with diverse groups of professionals, including counsellors, coaches, and community partners.
Diverse Skill Sets: EPIC Recovery seeks candidates with diverse backgrounds and expertise, including but not limited to:
· Addiction counselling and coaching
· Mental health support
· Crisis intervention
· Peer-led education
· Certification in addiction treatment
· Experience in creating and sharing educational resources
Client-Centered Approach: Candidates must be dedicated to a client-centred approach to addiction care, putting the well-being, safety, and needs of clients first.
