Improv comedy for Recovery
Laugh. Heal. Connect.
Ready to loosen up, laugh out loud, and build skills that actually support your recovery?
Join us for a 6-week Improv & Recovery Group starting August 12th, every Tuesday from 6:30–8:30 pm at our new Wellington Road South location. This one-of-a-kind series blends the fun of improv comedy with real recovery strategies to help you cope with stress, manage social anxiety, and boost your emotional flexibility—all while having a great time.
No experience necessary. Just a willingness to show up, be a little silly, and grow.
Why improv in recovery?
Teaches how to stay present and respond in the moment
Builds confidence, self-expression, and communication
Reduces stress and releases feel-good endorphins
Helps break the cycle of isolation through laughter and connection
Encourages self-compassion and taking risks in a safe space
Cost: $200 plus HST.
A limited number of free spots will be redeemed through Recovery Robinhood for those unable to cover the cost.
Instructor: Dean Anderson, RPC, MPCC, ICADC
Dean has been part of the improv community for over a decade—performing, hosting, and teaching. As a certified addiction professional with lived experience, Dean has used improv as a powerful tool for healing and personal growth. He has taught these principles at wellness conferences, educational institutions, and to mental health professionals across North America. Dean brings a warm, down-to-earth approach that blends humour with practical recovery strategies.
Sobriety is the first step — but what happens when the excitement wears off and progress stalls? This plateau can be a powerful turning point.
The Recovery Reboot Workshop is designed for individuals who have been sober for a while but feel flat, uninspired, or disconnected. Over two dynamic Saturday sessions, you’ll explore what’s beneath the surface of sobriety, uncover patterns keeping you stagnant, and learn practical tools to reignite growth, purpose, and joy.
This workshop is for you if:
You’ve stopped drinking or using but feel emotionally “stuck.”
You’re ready to move from surviving to thriving.
You want to break free from old patterns and embrace personal growth.
Join us and take your recovery from just getting by to truly living. Learn more on our blog.
Dates: Saturday, September 6th & Saturday, September 20th
Time: 1 PM - 4 PM
Location: EPIC Recovery Centre – 743 Wellington Road, London, ON
Cost: $299
A limited number of free spots will be redeemed through Recovery Robinhood for those unable to cover the cost.
